Aetna Healthcare Exits Massachusetts Small Group Marketplace

Aetna has made the decision to withdraw from the small group and individual market for all major medical health insurance products in Massachusetts. The Massachusetts Division of Insurance has approved the decision to withdraw from this market and Aetna will begin notifying existing customers shortly. Accordingly, as of September 1, 2010, Aetna will cease marketing and selling policies in the Massachusetts small group and individual market.
